Colin Powell could win 60% of the white vote because he was/is a statesmanlike moderate Republican that most Americans could trust with the country. He has NOTHING in common with them and offers NOTHING to them except same-old corporate-bashing and a socialist agenda. That dog dont hunt to values voters, and it won't work for middle-class voters who are on to the failures of the tax-and-spend liberals. All the fine speechifying in the world won't change the National Journal rating on Obama - most liberal member of the U.S. Senate. Obama will get the same voters Dukakis did and didnt get in 1988, if this plays out accordingly. Conversely, if McCain runs a weak campaign that doesnt expose Obamaâs elitist liberal core under that shiny Obama campaign exterior, then Obama might yet win.

Good work, Yannis. At some point you have to start to wonder if Obama is trying to fool us just like he bragged about fooling his mother, and other white people, in his book. Be charming and non-threatening he said, and white people become gullible. It speaks volumes about how far left the democrat party is that his many associations with undesirables is considered a non-issue.
Holy shit. Honourable conservatives are probably cringing at this. I wonder why the author forgot to mention Hitler and Jeff Dahmer? I'm sure Obama's camp are hopeful that some of this type of crapola will make it out of the internet-whackjob world and into the mainstream press. One whiff of this type of thing from a mentally stable McCain supporter will mobilize a lot of support for Obama from those who might otherwise be sitting in the fence. McCain has this race in the bag already. I'm sure he wouldn't want to jeopordize his chances by associating himself with this kind of vomitus.
You may be missing the point. Many people say that they will vote for Obama because that's the politically correct thing to say in many environments. However, what are they going to do alone in the voting booth at the proper time? The real battle being waged (as you see in writings like the one mentioned in the previous post) is for people's subconsious, places of their heart and gut that are under the radar. Now, don't get me wrong - I'm not advocating that people should be dishonest. But, I'm observing the field of battle being prepared. Liberal signals like "3rd Bush term", "100 years" etc are, imo, of similar nature.
