Obama vows crackdown on energy speculators

    The loophole was opened in 2000. What happened to oil prices over the next 3 years? Do you even understand the difference between coincidence and causation? There was no such loophole in the 1970s yet prices went up far more then.

    Oil went from 30 to 135. Wheat went from 300 to 1250. Rhodium went from 400 to 10000. Copper went from 60 to 400. Wheat had no loophole and was federally regulated. Same with copper. Rhodium doesn't even have futures for people to speculate on yet it went up the most. Isn't it strange that almost *every commodity* has soared over the last 5-10 years? Did the Enron loophole cause that too?

    Seriously, use your brain and some common sense please. You are just embarrassing yourself with these posts.
