Bergdahl's Platoon Hits Back Against Being Called 'Psychopaths' and 'Swift Boaters' by Obama Allies
    http://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiep...-platoon-on-being-called-psychopaths-n1848468

s reported yesterday, people close to the White House and Obama administration officials are bringing out the claws to attack former members of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's platoon as they continue to speak out and expose Bergdahl as a deserter and possible traitor. At this point, six former members of Bergdahl's platoon have come forward to condemn his actions of walking off base five years ago. Not a single man from his team has come forward to defend him or hail him as a hero. That exposure had lead to a smear campaign from the highest levels of government.

Yesterday Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development Brandon Friedman suggested publicly that the platoon might be full of "psychopaths." Officials at the White House told reporters President Obama was being "swift boated."

Last night on the Kelly File, platoon members not only rejected the accusations, but further exposed Bergdahl's actions. They all said they want to see him given a court martial.

The Obama administration is more than willing to question the integrity of the men who served with Bergdahl, but not the integrity of Bergdahl himself. After all, White House National Security Advisor Susan Rice said Bergdahl served his country with "honor and distinction," and President Obama says he will issue no apologies. It really is unbelievable.

Another stone cold lie from the Obama admin gets busted, but then again everyone already knew this was all about politics from the get go. Feinstein must just be another one of those conservative hacks trying to swiftboat Obama.

No Evidence of ‘Credible Threat’ to Bergdahl: Feinstein

The Senate Intelligence Committee chairwoman said she hasn’t been convinced that there was a “credible threat” against the life of freed Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl that motivated the White House to keep its plans secret from Congress.

“I don’t think there was a credible threat,” Senator Dianne Feinstein said today in an interview for Bloomberg Television’s “Political Capital with Al Hunt” airing this weekend. “I have no information that there was.”

Senators were told at a June 4 classified briefing that President Barack Obama’s administration had received indications that Bergdahl’s life could be jeopardized if the detainee exchange proceedings were disclosed or derailed, according to a government official who sought anonymity.

Hostage takers so rarely threaten to kill their hostage, so yeah, highly unlikely such a threat was made by the Taliban against the US.

Why did it suddenly change from him being in poor health, to threats from the Taliban, once everyone could see his health was just fine on the video the Taliban released?

Fact Checker Says John McCain DID Flip-Flop On Bowe Bergdahl
    By Jack Mirkinson
    Posted: 06/06/2014 12:57 pm EDT

"John McCain has spent much of the past week denying that he changed his position about exchanging Taliban prisoners for American soldier Bowe Bergdahl. So he probably wasn't happy on Friday morning, when the Washington Post's official fact-checker, Glenn Kessler, sided with the people who think McCain flip-flopped on Bergdahl.

"McCain told Jake Tapper on Thursday that, although he previously expressed his willingness to exchange prisoners for Bergdahl, he would never have done so if he'd known exactly which prisoners would be exchanged. Kessler, though, poked some big holes in that argument:

"We fully appreciate that the details of a prisoner exchange are important, and McCain certainly made that caveat clear. But since the deal was announced, he has suggested that the question of trading the Taliban Five for Bergdahl was a surprise—and that’s certainly not the case. These five men were always part of the prisoner swap, so that is not a detail that can be in dispute. Indeed, only a day after The Washington Post revealed a deal was in the works to trade the five men for Bergdahl, McCain appeared on television with what was billed as a “new position.”
    ...
"McCain may have thought he left himself an out when he said his support was dependent on the details. But then he can’t object to the most important detail–the identity of the prisoners–that was known at the time he indicated his support. McCain earns an upside-down Pinocchio, constituting a flip-flop."

You wont get an argument from me that McCain is a flip flopping dirt bag with no morals, and no spine. Conservatives probably hate him more than most liberals.

  7. I'd be more impressed if the Post applied the same microscope to the lies of Susan Rice and Barrack Obama. They have a totally different standard for lying by democrats.

Maybe McCain did flip flop, but how would he have known who was being traded? I thought the whole point of the upset with congress is they didn't know. Isn't that why even a far left partisan like Diane Feinstein is upset with the WH? And isn't there a difference between a general idea of whom the taliban wanted and an actual deal?

  8. BTW, can we even imagine the outrage if a republican WH was publicly trashing the other members of Bergdahl's unit? Every leading republicans would be getting grilled by the media and demanded to apologize and disavow the statements. Look at the phony outrage over the Valery Plame bogus scandal. Democrats call troops who served honorably liars and psychos....chirp....chirp...chirp.

  9. Lawmakers renew drive to free Marine held in Mexico, on heels of Bergdahl deal

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., penned a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry on Thursday urging "expeditious action" to facilitate Tahmooressi's return.

Veterans of Foreign Wars head William Thien also wrote to President Obama on Friday urging him to place a "personal call" to Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, particularly after the administration "broke longstanding U.S. policy to not negotiate with terrorists" in the case of Bergdahl.

"The VFW urges you to show the same sense of urgency toward Tahmooressi as you did to secure the release of Bergdahl," he wrote.

Rubio, in a separate letter, appealed to the Mexican ambassador to the U.S. to "press for expeditious action."
