  1. WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President-elect Barack Obama has decided to increase his goal for creating new jobs after receiving economic forecasts that suggest the economy is in worse shape than had been predicted, two Democratic officials told CNN.

The officials said Obama is increasing his goal from 2.5 million to 3 million jobs over the next two years after receiving projections early this week that suggest the recession will be deeper than expected.

Does he pull jobs out of his hat or out of his a**?

They are starting to panic. As if 9% unemployment is the end of the world. I guess they would rather mortgage the furture for a few jobs today.
  3. Imagine a cascading tsunami where unemployment surges to 20%+ and keeps surging.. what to do!!??

    Business will close down everywhere.

    anarchy will emerge...

    Gun and Ammo stocks anyone??

    What about food and essentials??
  4. Tipping point might be closer than you think.

John Williams of Government Shadow stats shows the current unemployment is actually 16%.
  5. Current unemployment rate is way above stated.

The government needs to stop manipulating data and strive to release the most accurate information possible.
  6. Gartman had a humorous reply to this. He asked if Obama could wave his wand and create 2.5M jobs, why not 5 or 10 or 20M?

So the answer to your question is yes.
  7. If he said "10 or 20M jobs", we'd be thinking, "he's a LIAR and a FRAUD"...

He doesn't want us to know that yet.
  8. You got it

If you're going to make promises you can't keep, might as well make them grandiose promises.
