Obama: UPS and FedEx are doing fine, it's the USPS that sucks

  1. I think one area where the PO did adjust their business model is in package delivery. They do want the internet shipping business and realized fed ex and ups were the competition.

  3. Absolutely correct, not to mention those hired by the government tend to be on the far left side of the Bell Curve and/or indolent by nature.

Anyone who thinks getting a drivers license issued is a bad experience, just wait until you get a load of odumbocare.

  4. Please site non-biased statistical studies to back your above claim. Otherwise, it's simply your opinion and not fact.

  5. Long after the fact, and only after the writing was already on the wall, so to speak. Not exactly a model to give a warm fuzzy feeling for letting the government also run health care.

  6. Agreed.

While this is admittedly a "qualitative" observation based on their union-based drivers, UPS drivers are "coddled" compared to that of FDX.

UPS drivers are only allowed to make a certain amount of deliveries per day. Why do I know this, because a friend of mine is a worker's comp/safety manager at UPS. Meanwhile, FDX drivers scramble like rats to get their trucks totally unloaded and ALL parcels delivered by the end of the day.

In otherwords, UPS needs more drivers (and cost) to deliver the same amount of parcels compared to FDX.

Just pointing out some of the rather SIGNIFICANT differences between the two companies. It's not all "apples and apples" when comparing these 2 publicly traded companies.

  8. You bring up an interesting point. Fred Smith of Fedex fame received a bad grade in college for a term paper based on his business model of creating FedX. His professor not only marked the paper with a poor grade, but marked on the paper that the idea would never work. The professor was obviously a card carrying liberal much like those posting here who are incapable of thinking outside the left-wing government conditioned mindset of how things should be rather than how they really are.

  9. Which is a service they did not innovate and put into place. They merely copycated what private industry created, and is precisely why private for profit healthcare trumps any government run program. Odumbocare would bring medical advancements to a screeching halt because the government would no longer have anything to steal ideas from.

  10. What does your claim about Obama's health care proposal bringing medical advancements to a screeching halt have to do with health care services provided by PRIMARY physicians.

    Please be specific.
