President Obama when he first campaigned was at best a junior Senator without any real life business experience, a community organiser.

Obamacare passed because the figures given to the CBO were deceitful, Obamacare will not pay for itself, instead will add dramatically to the deficit, while causing major financial damage to the States.

The Economic recovery act did not drop the unemployment figures, recalculating how the rate is figured did…. We have, what were your words “super high double digit unemployment and certain economic depression with far greater potential to damage the well being of the average American family” Ugh? We have super high double digit unemployment, except we quit counting them after two years of looking for a job…. Most economists would say we never came out of recession, moreover the only reason we aren’t seeing the same thing as the 1920’s is due to the government pouring trillions of unbacked fiat dollars into the economy.

Regulatory changes needed to be made in Wall Street, but the Democrats need to take partial responsibility for the mess as both sides help fuel the debacle.

Plans to pull out of Iraq were already being discussed before President Obama was elected, however most Military advisers will tell you that setting a public date for withdrawl is not the best thing to do… as seen over the last few days as our official end to military operations inside Iraq are finished… however about 5000 troops and supplies are still there waiting the final convoy back into Kuwait …. That time however is confidential as it helps the security of the outfit. Iraq succeeded because of the Surge, which Obama opposed

Afghanistan is a complete mess…. We need to get out and cut our losses. The people war against themselves and cannot govern themselves outside of their religious and social clans.

Joe Scarborough pretty much summed up what to make of far left individuals like you who say things about the quality of the republican field while supporting Obama, when Obama hadnt accomplished anything in his life but being a senator for 2 years before being elected, even that pinko Donnie Douche couldnt help but laugh at himself for how silly he sounded.

  4. It's been a while since I attempted to discuss anything with you. After being somewhat of a fan for the first couple of years, and then having to watch you slowly turn into a biased zealot, it feels kind of bad.

You talk about lazy? Compared to the 40% time spent by Bush in his ranch? GM is doing pretty well, paid the Gov't back, saved a lot of jobs. I can understand that, after W, the right has had a lot of apologizing to do.

Just to have a president who can actually run more than one sentence together, must be quite a challenge to the illiterate. Much easier to be spoon fed snippets by Fox and Rush.

As a true independent, I just hate the hate. Given a major political party whose sole purpose is to overthrow a sitting president, it makes it hard to be America.

The children on the board, you know who they are. The name calling never do wells in the sandbox, I can understand, sort of. They just don't know any better. But you used to have some sort of understanding and fairness. But, eveidently no more. I hope your golden years are filled with happiness, whatever you think that might be, delusional or not.

  5. Maybe you don't know this fact, but modern version of deregulation began with President Ronald Reagan and specifically lead to the first and the second Savings & Loan Bailouts respectively. It was through Reagan, that the mostly Republican Congress (during the periods when he had one) that the country began to see what would eventually leak its way into financial and banking industries. Gramm/Leach/Bliley, while signed into law by Clinton, was authored and pushed by three (3) Republican Congressmen.

But, GLB had little to no impact whatsoever, on the CRAs. And, it was the former President and his majority Congress, that allowed the CRAs to get away with lying to its customers and the public in general. The CRAs, knowing full well that toxic waste was being pumped into the system via CDS/CDO and hyper-exotic derivatives born of underlying failures waiting to happen, were allowed by the Bush Administration to et away with murder in the first degree. Because, even foreign banks were using CRA output in their risk management models.

And, you can absolutely lay the blame on the doorstep of the then Federal Reserve, who shortly after 911, began their mortal assault on the USD, driving it into the ground against most major global currencies, as it reduced interest rates too low and too fast between 2001 to the present.

There is a ton of blame to go around my dear friend and none of its rests on the doorstep of this current President. Any claim that this President either created or made worse the current economic hole we now live in each day of our lives, is a total, 100% lie - straight from the pits of hell, where it was originated, to cover the criminal tracks of those who WERE involved in setting this ticking time bomb off.

I'm not a Democrat, I'm an Independent. I just dislike political hypocrisy and I see far too much of it coming from the Right these days.

Clinton, while having his problems with Monica in the White House, at least left behind a budget surplus that was both projected and real. Therefore, common sense tells me that continuing to follow that which gave you a budget surplus, just might keep you from digging yourself deeper into debt and deficit.

Second, it is my belief (as well as that of many intelligent people), mostly from having high-performance multi-engine jet aircraft flight experience, that 911 was not carried out according to the 911 Commission Report and that Neoconservative operatives were somehow involved in the plot against United States soil.

Now, if you want to look at the evidence for that declaration, I am more than happy to have that discussion with you, but it will have to be inside another thread, as such a discussion if off-topic here. It would also be a very technical discussion involving aerodynamics, flight performance factors, flight performance envelopes, flight physics, crash site signatures, crash sight geometries, NTSB investigative protocols, DNA typing and amplification protocols and processes, national airspace defense protocols, NORAD, FAA flight restriction protocols, Part 121 IFR flight procedures regarding departing flights on domestic soil and a host of other technical issues.

Therefore, I do not believe that 911 would have happened had Al Gore, been elected. There would have been no excuse to lower U.S. interest rates for fear of an economic cooling down period and there would have been no Trillions spent in Iraq and Afghanistan. Furthermore, under Clinton, millions of new jobs were created, with many new Hi-Tech jobs being added across the country. Many new Hi-Tech industries were born and more global trading partners were developed as a direct result. In fact, over in Silicon Valley, there were period of time when companies could not find enough qualified talent to fill certain technical jobs.

It was labeled as the Tech Bubble, but the jobs that it created were real. Real families paid real bills at the end of a real month and new business models were being created, nearly every week at the height of the so-called "Tech Bubble." But, the bubble only existed on Wall Street, as stock prices soared far beyond the earning potential of a new tech company and it was the expectations of those who were investing in those securities, that caused the real bubble - not the entrepreneurs in the Valley, and on Main Street, who were busting their butts everyday to create the new technologies that benefit the planet.

So, no. I don't think there would have been anywhere near the kind of explosive move to the downside for the U.S. economy, like we saw in 2008, had "President" Al Gore, been a reality - for all the reasons outlined above and herein.

    Why?

Because mortgages don't cause economies to collapse - job losses in very large numbers, are what causes economies to collapse. When the Middle Class is gainfully employed, people pay their bills. And, when people pay their bills, defaults remain within parameters of the credit markets and their business models work as designed. And, that is what this country had under Clinton, job creation. It was the strongest period of job creation the nation has ever seen. Even when it had cooled off, it was still producing more jobs per quarter, than were being produced at the peak of Ronald Reagan's Administration. So, that would have stemmed the tide of systemic collapse - jobs.

Now, would we have had a much needed correction? Absolutely - that is what economies around the world do. The expand for a period and then they contract for a period. That's Econ 101.

However, you can rest assured that 911, followed by the subsequent illegal invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq, the subsequent slamming of interest rates by the Fed, the total lack of focus on a domestic agenda by the Bush Administration here at home, coupled to the downsizing of the American Middle Class job, acted as the quintuple-trigger that eventually set-off job loss, increased national debt/deficit and catalyzed the implosion of the American economy, which then catalyzed the domino effect on the global economy that we all experienced in 2008.

You spew the same tired, false, unfocused rhetoric that most Republican spew, when it comes time to taking personal responsibility for the fact that they were in control during the build-up to the crash. You quote the same false statements that are a dime a dozen:

    The Poor People Did It!

    or

Congress allowed the poor people to do it!

Listen to yourself and the logic you use. When The People have jobs, and they qualify for a mortgage, that means that are able to pay that mortgage, right up until the time they lose their job.

Job loss kills the economy, not mortgage underwriting.

  6. Ok, saying that President Obama, had just as much executive leadership experience as President Lincoln (which is true - you need to go read the shocking comparatives between the two), is NOT doing what Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney, are caught on television doing all the time. Both of them ran around the country back in 2008, proclaiming that Obama was unqualified based on his lack of executive leadership experience, yet neither one of them said that Sarah Palin, was unqualified to sit one heart beat away from the Presidency, due to her inability to know what the Bush Doctrine meant when asked on live television, or the million and one failures that demonstrated her ability to be the potential, next Commander in Chief.

Lastly, I'm an Independent, not a Democrat, who is sick and tired of the ramped hypocrisy that flows like water gushing over the Hover Dam, lately.

Trust me when I tell you this - many Independents are feeling the same way. The hypocrisy of blocking and fighting this President at every step, has not demonstrated genuine leadership from the Right. All that kind of behavior has done, is made those on the Right, look extremely childish, petty and angry.

I refuse to vote for a childish, pedantic, petty and angry candidate, who selective logical reasoning to make a hollow point.

I will vote for a Republican, but right now, the Republican party needs to go look itself in the mirror, to see what is starring back at it collectively. You are fractured, fragmented, frizzled, unfocused in the nation's business and you routinely set out to destroy the Presidency of Obama, for political gain. You hate. You hate President Obama, because he's part Black. Let's just keep it real, here. Let's not pretend that the hate flowing from the Right, is somehow because they truly believe that he's a Muslim. They hate the man precisely because he's Black, and the Head Man in Charge at the White House right now.

That's not of character, which is something the Right constantly preaches about. That's not of good family values, which is what I constantly hear Republicans preaching about. That's not of good moral fiber, which you constantly hear Republicans whaling about.

That's just downright nasty. Pure and simple. This is the United States of America, and ALL Republicans should be bigger than that.

That's why I can't stomach the current Republican Presidential field, with the exception of Ron Paul.

Ron Paul, strikes me as the kind of guy, that I would invite into my home for dinner. Exactly, like President Obama and Michelle. They are very decent people who really seem to want to do the right thing for ALL Americans.

In fact, I wish the next ticket were Obama and Paul, to be honest with you. I think Paul would modify Obama, to just the right degree and the two of them could really get something done. But, hey. I'm a true Independent, so I see things right down the middle - where they belong.

But, when it comes to this lame Obama bashing that always originates with the extreme Right Wing, I can no longer tolerate it and neither can most Independent voters that I know personally.

We are tired of it and you cannot win without us. Period. So, get your act together and get down to the business of solving our nation's problems.

  7. And, how does that answer the question put to you in my very first post in this thread, exactly?

I see you have hidden from the fire that it contains. You've insulated yourself in non-sequitur rebuttal, which is in fact, no rebuttal at all.

    Man-up and answer the question.

BTW - at last check, I was tested and cleared at 165. For whatever that is worth to you.

I didn't realize there was a question directed specifically at me. To tell you the truth though after skimming over your delusional rants over flowing with man love for Odumbo I can't imagine what I'm going to say that would get through your bias thick skull.

It's not worth spit to me.
My FICO score is in the 800's.

  10. You keep making declarative statements without support. You are like that lone Six'er Fan and a Lakers home game, who keeps standing up and crying "foul!" at the top of his lungs, even when it half-time and the Laker Girls are the only human beings on the floor.

    Where is YOUR proof for:

    1) Socialist Anti-American Values
    2) Incompetence
    3) Corruption

    Example:

    1) We know that Bush lied about WMD in Iraq

    2) We know that Bush either falsified or had falsified, the NIE on Iraq

    3) We know that Bush had no domestic economic agenda

    4) We know that Bush sat on his hands when CRAs were lying to people

    5) We know that Prescott Bush and Family had ties to Saudi Royal money

    6) We know that members of Osama Bin Laden's family were allowed to board commercial flights out of the U.S. when all other U.S. citizens were grounded

    7) We know that Dick Cheney, issued an STO during 911 to prevent fighter intercept of aircraft involved in the attacks

    8) We know that Dick Cheney, new before the attacks that some kind of airborne vehicle was inbound on the Pentagon

    9) We know that the 911 Commission Report is a joke of epic proportions and a lousy source of scientific documentation for what happened on 911

    10) We know that the Bush Administration through the FBI, confiscated more than 18 videos of various angles showing what DID strike the Pentagon on 911 and that the FBI (to this day) refused to release those videos

    11) We know that former Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, stood before the cameras one day before 911 and announced to the world that it (the Pentagon) had lost $2.3 trillion U.S. tax payer dollars.

We know these facts to be true. Yet, where are the facts that support your claims about Obama?

You hate'm because he's part Black, Jack. Confess your hate. That's the ONLY way you are going to be able to effectively deal with it.

You no more believe Obama, to be a socialist, than you believe yourself to be Elvis.
