1)yes, if he's so smart, educated and intellectual I think he should know how many states are in the union. He got the number wrong by EIGHT, even after hesitating to think about it. I didn't even attend Harvard and I've known how many states there are since kindergarten.

2)he doesn't understand whatever he fucked up three times.

No matter to me really, I'm not voting FOR McCain. I don't even like him, never have.
    I'm voting AGAINST Obama.

  2. He has already thrown his grandmother under the bus.

  3. Again, that sounds unlikely given that all along he's stated that he wants to pull the troops out of Iraq within about 18 months.

What spin? Are nominations owned? I don't believe that they are. It's a competition, and whoever wins that competition gets the nomination. They aren't inherited and they're not hers to sell.

Same thing with Hillary, who felt that she owned the nomination. She didn't.

Same thing with McCain in 2000, when Bush "stole" the nomination from him. Granted, Bush did it by lying and smearing McCain as cowardly and insane, and thus did it immorally, but the point remains.

She plucked him out of obscurity? Now you're just rewriting history.

  4. Apparently you don't know how many states there are since you just posted that he was off by eight when he said 47 states.

So if you can make a mistake, I think he can too. If you make it every post, then you need to be called on it.

Exactly right. He repeatedly made mistakes about Sunnis versus Shias, and Iran's support of Al Qaeda. Over and over. Finally he had to be corrected -- by Lieberman!

So foreign policy expert McCain doesn't know who the enemy is. That's a far greater problem.

  5. Wow, I'm really relieved that they've shelved the proposed transaction tax (for now).

Now we can get back to business as ususal here at ET (but be sure to write your brokerage etc., letting them know how much you are against any type of transaction tax, period!).

Back to the business at hand ... whew, he did throw his own grandmother under the bus, didn't he! :(

Yes, this is the common day experience for every black man walking down the street in America (particuarly in the more affluent areas), and it can actually get much worse ... but you aren't supposed to say such things about your family!.

Wow, he's a bastard and he can handle himself ... gotta love that.

  7. Socialism is an overhyped unproven theory at best... Obama is as Socialist as anybody can be, street organizer, politician, he is living the communist dream. Like another poster said, I'm not voting for McCain, I'm voting against Obama [and in doing so I'm stepping on Clinton and Carter's face...]

Well thank god you're not making an emotional decision.

The video I saw sounded like he said 57 and he had one more to see. Although that last part was less clear.

  10. This is working out along classical (arguing on the internet is like special olympics lines).

To all those braniacs that are supposedly voting "against" obama. Did you vote against Kerry and Gore too? Well guess what, King George turned out to be a complete and catastrophic failure on all levels so it behooves you to take a look at your political radar because it is malfunctioning. Bush was a mistake it is that simple.
