  1. Face it Gaywalker, you don't really do shit. Now some of your hick friends might be impressed that you fly a plane. What he does not know is that his kid can be flying a plane by Christmas as well:D

Hey RCG, can you cool it on the pilot shit? You are guilty of the same thing you are accusing Lucrum of. Sure, getting a "private pilot certificate" is pretty easy. But to actually become a "real commercial pilot" is not. It takes thousands of hours of flight time. It also takes a lot of study time in aeronautics, meteorology, mechanics, etc. There is a very wide spectrum in flying from being a top gun in the US Navy to being a captain of a 747 to being a weekend pilot that flys a Cessna 172. Come on dude, you know this. That's like comparing a credit trader at Goldman Sachs to some guy flipping e-mini's at home in his boxer shorts.

I know you enjoy fighting with Lucrum but your knowledge of aviation is awful. You simply can't put everyone in one big box. I grew up around a lot of pilots, both military and airline. Most these guys graduated top of their class in math and science and they have the ability to take an airplane engine apart and put it back together. No one is buying this pilots are stupid bullshit except that child ak47.

  4. If he were Top Gun I would have nothing to say I would tuck tail and go home. He flies Raptors. But he does not. So I stand by the fact that on the career ladder of what is ultimately more successful a pilot cannot hold a candlestick to nursing. How many Nurse Practitioners did you grow up around? How about Nurse Anesthesiology? Please, being a pilot is about practice, not education. 13 weeks???? Seriously????

No,it doesn't take "thousands of hours of flight time"

For an airplane multi engine rating:

If you are applying for a commercial pilot certificate with an airplane category and multi engine class rating, you must log at least 250 hours of flight time as a pilot (of which 50 hours, or in accordance with FAA Part 142, a maximum of 100 hours may have been accomplished in an approved flight simulator or approved flight training device that represents a multi engine airplane)

That is simply not true RCG. You seem to be confusing something here. Getting a license is easy! Becoming a commercial pilot is not! There is no 13 week bullshit. Please, listen to me man. There is no fucking way to become a commercial pilot in 13 weeks. Stop googling this and passing it off as knowledge. When I was growing up I spent my entire childhood wanting to become a pilot. I dedicated a lot of hours to this. I know what's required and what's not.

Let me give you a different example. One can make the argument that getting a "driver's license" is easy. Becoming a Formula One race driver is not! It would be like you telling that Formula One driver that anyone can do it, they just need to get a driver's license. Come on. I get the fact you don't like Lucrum, but you are so off base here. I probably know as much about aviation as anyone on ET. I'm not googling this shit.

From May to Dec the 9-11 hijackers were knowledgeable enough to fly a commercial airliner into the WTC...7 whole months

    Flight training

In March 2000, Mohamed Atta contacted the Academy of Lakeland in Florida, via e-mail, inquiring about flight training, "Dear sir, we are a small group of young men from different Arab countries. Now we are living in Germany since a while for study purposes. We would like to start training for the career of airline professional pilots. In this field we haven't yet any knowledge but we are ready to undergo an intensive training program (up to ATP and eventually higher)." He sent 50-60 similar e-mails to other flight training schools in the United States.[20]

On May 18, 2000, Atta applied for and received a U.S. visa.[20] After obtaining his visa, Atta traveled to Prague before going to the United States. Atta, along with Marwan al-Shehhi arrived in Venice, Florida, and visited Huffman Aviation to "check out the facility." They explained that "they came from a flight school in the area, they were not happy and they were looking for another flight school".[27] By December, Atta and al-Shehhi left Huffman Aviation, and on December 21, Atta received a pilot license.[28]

One more time for the mentally handicapped here. Those terrorists were NOT commercial pilots! They simply "took over" the controls of the plane. Again, I can sneak into Mario Andretti's formula one race car and drive it around the block. That does NOT make me a formula one race car driver!
