what a spectacle. the president encouraging superstition as a solution to the gulf mess. does any intelligent man think praying is going to make any difference?

Really, since President Obama stated to the world we were no longer a Christian nation, seems kinda hypocritical?

 

actually since praying is nothing more than primitive superstition it seems kind of stupid for the leader of a nation to encourage it. one would hope we had advanced beyond that. maybe he should have asked for a vodoo doll of the bp ceo so he could stick pins in it.

 

I think all he meant was the chickens are coming home to roost.

 

...that's the trouble with religion, it gets in the way of what people really think.

Jimmy Carter is no longer on his knees, thanking God for Obama. He's sitting in his recliner, drinking from his last case of Billy Beer, eating peanuts and laughing his ass off.

 

Well, to be fair, I don't think he was referring to prayer as the answer to the problem. I think he was essentially using "pray" as a euphemism for "hope" to accompany the strategic and tactical protocol. Attitude, and all that. At least that's what I'm hoping. And, yes, I wish he didn't use "pray."

 

Who said anything about praying to Jesus??? Da prez prays to allah....
