Why are we occupying Afghanistan? Honestly, there is nothing there worth our blood and treasure. We went there to kick the shit out of the Taliban and that was mostly accomplished the first few weeks. We should pull out and simply return when necessary, like was done with the Barbary Coast. obama would love to not have the war problem around his neck but he was convinced by the powers that be that america can never be seen as defeated in battle. in order to save face it seems we will continue on until we go broke. most are not happy about it but the only consolation is the fact that if john mccain and caribou barbi had been elected we would probably be in iran too by now.
