  2. Hmm?, who is "we" in the "we all know whites are afraid of blacks" from post above. Please explain.

My opinion is blacks are afraid of other blacks. The murders of black people on the street are mostly committed by their fello black bro's. The black communtiy need to address this issue instead of blaming white people for racism. Blacks killing blacks doesn't get much media play does it?

This is a good point. It's to the point that Blacks in their communities do not even report crime for fear of retribution. When police conduct investigations, blacks who might be witnesses nearly invariably refuse to offer any information for fear of being labeled a "snitch" and all that that stigma brings with it in the black community.

  4. Yes unreported by people in the street, and most importantly some black leaders do not want to highlight the murders of blacks by blacks....why? because this would be admitting the problems in poor black america is not all to be blamed on white people. Easier to blame white people for all the problems, than take a look inside themselves and their own crimes against each other. I see it all the time. Sad

  5. "It's to the point that Blacks in their communities do not even report crime for fear of retribution. "

This is only part of the reason. The other reason is: It could be their cousin, brother, uncle, friend of friend, etc who commited the crime. No one wants to be reponsible for putting a relative in jail or seeing what passes for a family disrupted.

Putting a family member in jail could possibly create a direct hardship on your life, ie. taking care of the jailed dependants. Step into the world of distorted logic of bad or poor choices, where no one is likely to benefit and what's the point.

  6. This is another reason yes. There is not one reason for unreported crimes, but many..and yes its about the money and loss of it when someone goes to jail.

These are the dynamics of black life that need to be looked at for what it is, and stop blaming whitie for everything.

  7. "black leaders do not want to highlight the murders of blacks by blacks..."

Neither do white leaders. Indirectly, if you mention this subject (photo op, etc) the media "assigns" this cross to you. You will become known first as a crusder to solve the problem but over time you'll actually be linked with "causing the problem by way of not doing anything about it". You were a poltician/leader, you knew about it and did nothing, no one cares that you tried but couldn't. It is a tough situation.

  10. Ghettos only get bigger. Urban planners plan the same old failures dollar after federal dollar. Bush "homeownership society" plan had merit. Private (easy) money to invest where "red lining" prevailed. The spoiled IB subprime brats did make a mess of things, Bush gets the blame but it was an idea that hadn't been tried and really was worth a shot.

I haven't read anything positive but I'm sure there were success stories of community improvements of low income home ownership that weren't available with prior policies.
