When BO signed the credit card legislation a few months ago to save us from those big bad credit card companies guess what I became a sudden beneficiary of?? A 50 dollar annual fee!! Thanks Obama, you're the best!! Thank god I pay my bills on time and have good credit, oh wait.... The point being, one way or another you will pay.
The deficit is way too large. The chances of a transaction tax are probably no more or no less because of this bill. The Feds still have a load of blame they can spread to justify anything.
Just remember, many of these co's were forced to take TARP dollars they did not need or want. And the ones MOST responsble for the whole mess (AIG, FNM, FRE) get a pass.
Too big to fail. We must save them so they can become profitable once again. Wait, profits are a product of an evil society so now we must punish them back to the point where they'll once again be, too big to fail.
I complained. From the way it sounds - if the companies most responsible had to pay the large majority of the fee - it seems like a good move.
First Obama said: These bailouts are absolutely necessary to get the economy moving again. Now it's: Give that bailout money back! What idiot gave that money to you in the first place?! Obama is beyond Orwellian. Why he still has supporters is beyond me.
