Obama promotes fiscal restraint, big spending

  2. my first post, pin head, was that he'd preaching fiscal restraint, while tossing around 1/2 trillions like they were boxes of free cheese

    right move or not, it's the contradiction that strains his credibility i was talking about

  3. 1990. Dem-Congress tried to shrink the deficit by raising taxes (and spending), Bush the Elder vetoed, three day shutdown but it landed on a weekend so impact not so widespread.

  5. Given your horrible reading comprehension, I doubt that you were able to fully understand what Obama said in his press conference this morning.

    Obama was merely pointing to those ridiculous farm subsidies that our government continues to hand-out . . . when speaking about budgetary items that require fiscal restraint.

    But leave it to swtrader to miss out on the Big Picture.
