  2. Ouch.

I look at that chart and see irresponsible tax cuts, an unnecessary war and economic calamity due to laissez faire (ie Republican) non-management of the financial sector.

You were also supposed to see that many of our peers are in the same boat, but that we (and a couple others) are improving and they are not (yet). As this continues effective demand can only grow.

  5. Credit has an inherent positive definition.....

a source of honor <a credit to the school>
    6
a : something that gains or adds to reputation or esteem : honor <took no credit for his kindly act>
b : recognition, acknowledgment <quite willing to accept undeserved credit>
    7
: recognition by name of a person contributing to a performance (as a film or telecast) <the opening credits> I guess he can't fly a drone , or bowl.

But you're right, he can't fly a drone for crap.

  6. Do you honestly believe there is a difference between the Republican and Democrat parties? For the most part, their biggest donors are the same crooks. If we continue promoting entertainment over information, we're going to constantly alternate between 8 years of a Republican president and 8 years of a Democrat president. The people will think there is a difference because some social issues will be handled differently between regimes, but real change will never come blaming one side of the same coin.

Which is why it's so important for us to start effectively controlling the healthcare costs imposed by the baby boom generation until they have "moved off the chart". Any good ideas out there for controlling medical costs? Anyone doing better than us that we might be able to steal some ideas from?

[Oh, I missed the obvious on that chart. How many boomers will be around in 2049?]

  9. You know, we're traders here. We should be able to read a chart. If you carefully look at the chart we can see it started down around the year 2000 and then went up after that. Gee what happened around the year 2000?

Knowing about momentum in trends (being we're traders), can we be surprised that the sharp upward momentum will suddenly turn down?

Yes look at the chart and see what Obama inherited. It's great proof of why blaming him for it is foolish.

That chart is a result of the conditions established under Bush.

You should be smart enough to know that Obama's new debt in 3 years is more than Bush racked up in 8. Try doing a little math on that on your own.
