Not certainty......it is PATTERN recognition, and flexibility to adapt to the current patterns! Learn the difference!
Pattern recognition is wrong at times in the markets...ask RM who correctly called the top of the oil market last summer but also called for a bottom of stocks. He is quite adept at pattern recognition. One pattern recognition I employ is when I read someone who is posting in all caps much of the time, is a fanatical thinker... Fanaticism, of course is generally considered a mental disorder.
