The new Obama budget will propose an increase in payroll taxes to help pay for the hundreds of billiions given out in unemployment insurance extended benefits. (Obama is trying to finding a way to bail out some states over this, too) Of course, last year the Democratic Congress didn't bother to pass a budget telling the government where and how to spend our money. Spending is just going on willy-nilly by the seat of the pants of our beloved bureocrats.
