There is a fine distinction between saying "we should ignore it" and "it has been ignored." Perhaps that was lost in the translation. Though I think Seidman's personal position is that it deserves to be ignored once in a while. I myself have never said we should ignore it. I have always said we should burn it and start over. It's becoming more and more obsolescent as each decade goes by. Sadly, the founders weren't any better at guessing the future two hundred years hence than we are today.
