I would think that after a time since separation from service, the military would not want them back...
With the job market as it is... seems the military as a career has more appeal today than before... Most jobs in the Air Force are non-combat and much like civilian jobs.
The young ones can re-enlist if they are not defective. Older ones cannot find work. A military career may be the best place for the young who cannot get into Wall Street or civil service.
