I don't think RCG would have made it through medical school. Frankly I don't think he could have performed well enough to get through his undergraduate degree as pre-med. There were a few guys that went through engineering school with me who were getting a BSEE and they were "pre-med" so they *had* to get an A in every course and that requires more than just determination. Some pre-meds get an engineering degree because it is supposed to give them an advantage during admissions and also enables them to branch off into research or develop medical devices. Those guys were smart and in some cases gifted and they worked their asses off. Those don't seem like attributes that RCG possesses. When I went through a 5-year EE program there were a few people who flipped out, jumped off parking structures, drank bleach or otherwise decided to check out. Imagine putting the requirement to get an A in every class on top of the regular pressure of engineering school. I was in awe of the people who did it and also became convinced that I could not become a medical doctor. RCG just isn't made of that stuff. Nobody would sign-off on giving a medical degree to someone with his attitude. He would be caught lying or embellishing and that would be that. Some nurses have the attitude that they are "almost a doctor" and that they could become a doctor with a few more classes. A nurse is to a doctor what a baggage thrower is to a 747 Captain. There are only 200,000 general practitioners in the entire country. There is a reason that there are so few. It is a royal bitch to become a doctor.
