Obama does not read books

  1. Why do liberals always have to embellish? It's like Bill Clinton coming off the golf course and claiming he shot 81 when any golfer who watched him knew he didn't break 100 and couldn't on is best day.

Now obama is a "noted scholar?" Noted by who, other than maybe MSNBC? He went to Harvard Law. That makes him a trained lawyer, not a noted scholar. He has never authored a serious piece of legal scholarship in his life, a very unusual record for someone who was allowed to teach con law at the University of Chicago. I guarantee there are no other Chicago professors or even instructors who got their jobs without authoring some pretty heavy duty scholarly articles.

Bush went to Yale and Harvard Business school, so he is obviously a total dufus. Isn't it odd therefore that Obama has gone to great lengths to shield his entire academic record from any scrutiny. No one knows his grades, his test scores, how he managed to get into Columbia or Harvard or how he got the Chicago job. But he is clearly a genius, a noted scholar even though the only thing he has ever written were a couple of ridiculous books about himself.

This a similar to the breathless stories about Obama the great athlete. He played high school basketball, that's it. Like Al Bundy, who played high school football, he is still living off it. Bush by contrast is an elite athlete who kept up a punishing bike training regime in the White House. Jim Zorn, Redskins football coach and noted extreme athlete, was invited to accompany the president's group and said he couldn't keep up.

Style over substance. That's becoming the theme of this administration.

  2. Whom.

    Magna cum laude.

I don't think a gnat should be making pronouncements on matters of intellectual honesty.

  10. How many noted scholars are there? How many editors of the Harvard Law Review are there?

I think some leeway can be given to Obama for being called a noted scholar based solely on his tenure as editor of that prestigious publication. It's certainly notable.

Obama probably doesn't have time to read books anymore because he's probably too busy reading policy papers, reports, and briefings.
