I made OOOOODLES of $$$$$ under the last Clinton admin.

You should care VERY much !!!

Administrations can kill the market or make it, regardless of what people tell you.

I've sat through 4 presidents as a trader and the wrong President / Administration can destroy your income.

  2. You can't remove the human impulses.

    Every man wants more money.

    Every man wants more power.

Every man wants more p**** (well except for Joab, from what I hear he's the Big Dog when it comes to that one).

    Believe it or not.

    That's it.

That's how all human beings are, period, period, period. Everything else that we do revolves around those three basic "adult needs" - no matter how we try to fool ourselves. Regardless of race, creed or color (none of those things matter as much as people pretend that they do, anyway).

And there can be no greater argument made for term limits.

Please give a good proposal to pay off our national debt before saying no tax hike. You know who are the real owner of our country now? Simply cutting congress salary will not save our country.

And thanks for the Bush and the Replubican adminstration to turn our all time high surplus to all time high deficit. And that's why why we will have the tax hike no matter what? Or do you want to lose more of our country?

    So, say Obama gets in.

Why does that tank the markets?

I voted twice for GW and twice for GH and can admit that I prospered while Bill Clinton was in office. Democrats ain't always bad for the markets or the general economy.

Personally I like to see the presidency go 8-years to one side and then 8-years to the other side. One side seems to undo some of the stupidest stuff done by the other side but keeps some good stuff. You end up with with the better ideas of both sides getting implemented.

Good traders usually don't care whether it's a bull market or bear market because they make money from market volatility no matter it's in uptrend, downtrend or sideway...Plus good traders don't trade US stocks only, they study and trade different markets and instruments that are available....

The salary cut would be symbolic. As I indicated, the elimination of waste and fraud would provide an incredible amount of money. You seen some of the GOA reports in the past? Then cut spending, regardless of party. The republican party is dead because they spent like the dems. The dems will make up in spending domestically what they cut from defense. If congress isn't willing to cut spending, eliminate fraud and waste, then the debt will continue to go up, but so will taxes anyway.

The dems (with the help of the pubs) decimated our military under Clinton, thus the big surplus in the 90's. And they didn't have to deal with the worst attack since Pearl Harbor. Having said that, we have spent a great deal on Iraq, and I wouldn't mind seeing some of that paid for with the oil wealth over there.
