Obama Delegate - say good bye market

Discussion in 'Politics' started by Joab, Jun 3, 2008.

  1. I hear your bro, I used to get pissed at the wifey telling me what to do, I definitely don't want to have to listen to my woman, my job and my govenrment ...

... but then again, I sure wish someone had been around telling all of those sub-prime bankers what they could and could not do, tobacco is bad news around other human beings, drinking and driving equals death, the family unit is getting knocked silly and despite all the trash talk, I'm a compassionate person, so I really can't go along with a policy of Live and Let Die.

Just asking...why you are so sure Obama will not veto anything from the congress? Did he say he will not?

And why McCaine is less interested in being controlling?

And are you comparing the party's behavior as a whole or the candidates for the president individually?

How about live and let live? I believe if one wants to engage in certain behavior, be it food, tobacco, drugs, sex, etc, let him, if he does it at no expense to any other. If I want to arm to protect my family, I don't want congress telling me I can't. You know what's happening in Australia with the new gun laws.

I don't want congress making me safe from myself. Broadbrushed knee jerk laws don't solve problems.

On the other hand, I hear you about the subprime mess, but also have heard that getting people into houses that couldn't afford it was a goal of the dems in congress. They encouraged easier loans. Of course they won't take any blame, and the pubs went along. I would not be opposed to some regulation on corporations, as some sure as hell need it.

I believe we have a healthcare issue, but rebuilding the entire system from the ground up is not the answer. Let's get a program for the needy without tampering with the greatest healthcare in the world. I noticed Mr Kennedy didn't go to Canada or Cuba for his cancer. Sorry, couldn't resist. Problems can be fixed without dumming down to the lowest common denominator, which seems to be the prefered method for many dems in congress.

I believe their should not be one more tax hike ever until the waste and fraud are gone. I mean gone. And throw in some
salary cuts for congress before raising taxes. Clean up the waste and they would find billions.

Because I have reviewed his voting record. When he doesn't vote present, he votes left. His record is nearly identical to Hillaries. He is very liberal. Example 1. He and Hillary both voted against Roberts confirmation for supreme court.

I also believe he will be beholding because their support was so great.

Mccaine, even though kind of left, will be beholding to conservatives, because he won't get elected without them. That might keep him centered...maybe
