Barack Obama launched his campaign in unspectacular fashion today at Ohio State University, the largest college in the crucial swing state.

According to the Toledo Blade, the venue for Obama's rally seats 20,000 but "there were a lot of empty seats." Comparatively, Obama drew a crowd of 35,000 at Ohio State when he campaigned for former Governor Ted Strickland in 2010.

The official Barack Obama Tumblr boasts a figure from ThinkProgress that 14,000 attended the event--70% of the stadium's seating capacity.

It's a campaign faux pas to hold an event in a room that isn't full; to promise the media a more-than-capacity crowd then fall this far short of that promise is utter incompetence.

    Romney Draws Small, Sleepy Crowd

FLORENCE, South Carolina—Mitt Romney drew a lackluster crowd at a morning rally here, unable to fill even the smaller space his advance staff had blocked off for the event.

Standing on a low stage at the center of the small crowd, Romney gave his standard stump speech, drawing just a smattering of applause on the usual lines.

Only 100 supporters attended the event, billed as a "Grassroots Rally and Discusses Jobs and the Economy with Supporters" by the campaign. Staffers removed the tall ladder at the side of the room to prevent photographers from capturing the vast empty space between the press file and the crowd.

Unlike liberals who don't need to go to work because they have a government check, conservatives generally work for a living and don't have the time to attend rallies in mass.

Conservatives, unlike liberal stooges, tend to show up on voting day. Remember the term "silent majority". You'll see them in November.

But, when the President is expecting an over flow crowd of 25,000 to 35,000 and only 14,000 show up, there is a serious problem.

Clearly the problem is that the rally lacked enormous styrofoam greek columns.

Obama should probably erect a 1:1 scale stryofoam replica of the Acropolis at every rally just to keep the masses interested.

    Obama's act got old.
    People wanted results.
They got the same crap the neo cons gave them.
Crazy spending, huge debt, higher prices, lower wages, deflated dollar.
