  2. That is total bullshit. Why should people earning 40K a year have to pay any income taxes?!?! You try living on 40K a year. With a family.

Who would YOU designate to get the largest tax decreases: the wealthiest ?!?!?

Dumb fuck. Let those who get largest benefits from our nation pay the friggin' bills for their prosperity.

A family of 4 making 40K a year basically pay no taxes.

And the wealthiest already pay almost all the taxes.

Would you prefer we just give those who pay no taxes a free small portion from those who do?

If someone needs help, thats a different story there are programs that are in place to help. But socialism / wealth distribution is totally against the principals this country was founded upon.

Every one has a right to pursue wealth not have it handed them through taxation from someone else.

    You are the dumb fuck

You know. Income tax is not really a rich tax. Capital gain tax and dividend tax are the rich tax. Currently, it is at 20% and 15%.

    Rich people don't work....:)

If you have a long portfolio, these 8 years has been great.

Oh yea, close the loop hole that allow fund manager to pay Capital gain tax on their income.

  5. That's about as wrong-minded as you can be.

Everyone is to a great degree responsible for their own welfare in this world... like it or not.

It is not the responsibility of those who have wealth to shoulder the burdens unduly vs. those who have not, after all, don't you think each party took specific actions to be in the place that they are at this point in their lives?

To think otherwise would be to make the presumption that we are not all responsible for ourselves, and that simply isn't true.

    Flat Tax, sounds good.

No tax = no entitlement program. That is my stand.

I am ok to have socialism for defense though.

Flat rate and consumption tax, everyone pays the same (SMALL) percentage, no deductions and throw on a consumption tax on everything except pharmaceuticals and food staples.

You can even give a flat rate rebate to those under a certain income level, so they are not taxed, if it feels necessary.

But those with more spend more, illegal money is taxed and it encourages savings.

  9. I don't agree with a consumption tax, it discourages spending which is what makes the economy go around.

  10. That's why, as simple and logical as your poposition is, it will never see the light of day.

This is system is based on Keynesian Economics, where consumers are treated as chattel who keep the economy going by consuming, living beyond their means and living under the yoke of debt (SERFDOM ANYONE) for the rest of the natural born lives.
