Hopefully November will bring some nightmare relief...

 

Given the US history of bilateral agreements in opposition to WTO, I would expect the aim of this project is to keep the US outside the global tax and in this way build competitive advantage.

 

Trumpka has been pushing this for over a year now. This is old news IMO.

 

Congress would have to approve any agreement on a FTT, whether it's global or domestic, so this is nothing to be concerned with. Come Jan. 2011, we won't have to worry about this at all, with the GOP killing the Democrats on Nov. 2nd.
