Obama has no plans to try to close the border. It is just too darned hard. We can try to turn Afghanistan into Switzerland, we can control the climate, we can go into outer space, we can transform our economy to green energy, yes we can...but closing and controlling a border in largely wide open desert? Illegal immigration had been really slowing down due to deteriorating conditions in the usa. NOW they are flooding over because of the probability that amnesty will pass.
HOGWASH! (1) Build the fence. (2) Bring home 20,000 troops from the ME and station them on the Southern border with orders to "shoot on sight anyone who crosses". We'd immediately find the border "sealed"... more water tight than a frog's butt!
This is treason. 19 foreigners killed ~3,000 Americans on 9/11. Terrorists will happily cross the unsecured Mexican border to get into the US undetected. Everybody knows that. In fact, Muslims are already doing it. I personally know of 3 Turkish guys that got into the US, doing just that. Obama will not secure the borders and push amnesty. Just like Bush. I agree with him to the degree that the border cannot be secured 100%. We can do better, but it'll never be 100%. What we need to do is shutdown the free for all once they get here. Simple enough to do, if one really wanted to solve the problem. 1. Immediate repeal of the unconstitutional Anchor baby law. Anyone with even an ounce of intellectual honesty knows that current law is a perversion of the 14th Ammendment. 2. No more freebies on the taxpayers dime. That's means no healthcare, no education, no help or support of any kind. 3. Enforcement of current laws with regard to the hiring of illegals. No need to re-invent the wheel, just enforce the god damn law as it stands. Do these simple things, gun down a few of them at the border, and viola, problem solved. Again, this assumes they want to solve the problem, they don't, so the entire debate is an exercise in futility.
Disagree. The border can be shut and protected. We spend TRILLIONS on Wallstreet, but can't erect a 100-Billion dollar fence? That's peanuts. Agree about the rest.
America needs "someone with a pair" to be elected President... and to do the RIGHT THINGS... without regard to considerations of being re-elected.
