You posted this to me, but I already know this. Tell the others. They are the ones mistaking fringe elements of the right for the Tea Party, because the media told them so.
The Tea Party 15 Non-negotiable Core Beliefs 1. Illegal aliens are here illegally. 2. Pro-domestic employment is indispensable. 3. A strong military is essential. 4. Special interests must be eliminated. 5. Gun ownership is sacred. 6. Government must be downsized. 7. The national budget must be balanced. 8. Deficit spending must end. 9. Bailout and stimulus plans are illegal. 10. Reducing personal income taxes is a must. 11. Reducing business income taxes is mandatory. 12. Political offices must be available to average citizens. 13. Intrusive government must be stopped. 14. English as our core language is required. 15. Traditional family values are encouraged. http://www.teaparty.org/about-us/ Who could be against those things? Especially the gun ownership is sacred thing. And I don't think they are being strong enough about the traditional family values....those that don't agree with them should be taken out and shot with the sacred guns.
If YOU are against these things.. to me that makes you the poster boy of a radical, in the USA. Let's see the country has been around for 200+ years and many of these things have in fact been tradition here since even before the union was officially formed. Especially the two you seem to have taken personal issue with. Encouraging traditional family values DOES NOT equate to: "And I don't think they are being strong enough about the traditional family values....those that don't agree with them should be taken out and shot with the sacred guns." But then you know that and are trying to dramatize your 'point' like an irrational bitch, aren't you? Of course they are more telling, since you get to make them up.
Many of those are uninformed. Some are unrealistic. One or two are so vague (a strong military is essential) who could disagree?
