  2. A good reason for Oanda to introduce trailing stops but they won't for some reason, can't imagine why not. Lots of new little trinkets like connection quality indicator, profile manager, locale, screen lock, pip/profit calculator etc, all very handy I'm sure but not really of any practical use or benefit to a trader in his trading.

  5. forestgril: select add studies at the bottom left of the chart, select price overlay and select high bid. Did the highest bid price equal or exceed your limit order price?

The highest bid shows here as 1.54006 (second peak). Your limit order is at least 1.54019. So no fill.

The Add Study - High Bid visual method, while useful to know, doesn't help in a case like this, because the difference between his sell limit and high bid was as small as 0.00003. Especially when you need to go back many hours and therefore no longer able to zoom in / drop down to sub-minute time frames.

Instead, refer to the posts by KarateChop and me above for the answer.

  7. That is not correct, the difference is 1.3 pip. And he didn't even give us the exact price for his limit order (which is probably higher looking at the screenshot). The 5 minute chart is still within range to show the peak and is accurate up to a fraction of a pip. That makes this method conclusive.

edit: price shows as 1.54020 in the infobox. So the difference is 1.4 pip.

I don't know how you can call a graphical, eyeballs-dependent method (Add Study - High Bid) both "accurate to a fraction of a pip" and "conclusive." Please explain exactly where you get 1.54006 from - chart type, time frame, what time, what chart elements.

  9. The chart clearly shows the highest bid was not equal or higher than his limit order price.

edit: if you align your mouse cursor with the highest bid line, you get the quote 1.54006. One of his screenshots lists the limit order price as 1.54020. That makes a difference of 1.4. Due to the inaccuracy of the chart, the highest bid could be off a few fractions of a pip (1.54007 for example), but 1.54020 is not possible.

  10. See screenshot and compare it with the previous one.

edit: no need to delete your post ..
