No offense but those are contradictory statements, IMO. But first, I am constantly amazed at how many people find out that i.e. Oanda is a bucket shop and still deposit their money there. I respectfully submit that it's a bit of an odd approach to say 'Oh, Oanda is a dishonest bucketshop? Ok, well I'm going to open an account there and as soon as that's perfectly clear and i've lost some money to their sharp practices, I'll close it'. Back to your statements above. If Oanda is a bucketshop, doesn't that tell you a lot about what is going on behind closed doors? Don't get me wrong, I have absolutely nothing against bucketshops since I feel that those who give their money away to a bucketshop deserve to lose it. My point is that the business model is 'Use every trick in the book to get money off of unsuspecting naive traders'. So that's what's going on behind the closed doors at a bucketshop. Would you feel better having your money there or at a firm that is simply there to execute your trades? In Canada the first 100K at IB is protected by the government. Not sure about the U.S. A, if that's where you're located.
who can tell me then: if I would like to deposit really small amount of money, let's say from 250-2000$, and make maximum 5 tehcnical trades a day (worth at least 30-50 pips), which broker would be good for me?

thank You for help, but why do You think, that opening a account with leverage 1:400 is reasonable? If I take a reasonable stop loss in an important place, which will be at least 10 pips, I loose 40% of my capital, don't I? Or can I buy smaller lots?
##################### ?! You stated ,that you are person with international experience ... Take demo ,without charge and ask banality through chart by company . But from your questions is clear with high chance ,that best for you would not to start any trading with real money ...
ssss, be careful - I did not stated, that I have a "international experience", I even admitted somehow, that I do not have it by telling, that I have to search through links from You to learn more. I've been trying some demo accounts with ODL (metatrader), Oanda, GFT, and some Polish brokers. If You tend to advise something, then I can try to assume for a moment, that You know, what You are talking about. But when You advise 1:400 leverage I ask myself - does he think, that I can be sure of ANY trade? When You leverage like this, a very little move against You takes a significant part of Your capital. And easy algebra shows, that if You loose 33%, You have to make 50% from the capital You still have, to "repair" Your account to a state before losses. That is why basic trading books tell You not to risk more than 10% of Your capital in one trade, because If You loose 10% from initial capital, You only have to make 11.1% to repair the account to initial state. So my question is reasonable and important - if You have 250$ on a 1:400 leveraged account, is it even possible to risk less than 10%, if You take a tight stop loss, let's say of about 10pips? Do You understand ssss? And if You advise something, I hope You know the answer to my question: is it possible to use minilots with GFT then? I have the demoaccount with them and their usual leveraging is 1:100. When I spoke to the consultant, She was not eager to change the leverage to make using small lots possible even on demo account. She made it, so I can use lots like 10000$ but if I leverage like 1:400 maybe it will not be possible. If You know the answer, please give to me.

Dear ssss, The minimum amount for mini forex account with GFT is 500$. For a beginning, I would rather start with 250$, because I do not know my emotions during real play. Is there any reasonable other choice besides Oanda for such a small capital?
