Jake, you are paying too much. You can trade for half of that, $20 per million, through Capital Forex or ODLS. And that is their starting price. But you would be trading through RBS instead of ABN. RBS's spreads are similar but there is a little less size on the inside. However with $500k under management you can't be doing much size per position anyway/ If you can build up to decent order flow you will find that the price is negotiable, even with PFG. Lower limit is about $10 per million -- and that is just an estimate based on CurrenEx charges and what we were getting through Refco Capital Markets. Who knows, maybe the CX charges are negotiable also so it could go lower. As the forex ECN models mature, prices should tend towards marginal cost.... probably around $1 per million or less. .
I am totally confused! Is my following statement correct? CURRENEX is a big ECN with it's own special trading platform also called currenex. Traders, market makers can connect to this ECN through different brokers like capital forex, ODLS, PFGforex, PROPFX, Currenexdirect. Thanks, Herringtrader
