Hi, This is just to voice some public dissapointment at OANDA. A great company that obviously has grown in leaps and bounds. (Moaning on their own forums seems to have no impact) Currently around announcements the system is obviously being swamped with orders - the system has become unresponsive and unusable when it most matters. Today is a case in point once again - and also Non-Farm Payrolls and also Trichet's post ECB conference. Obviously these guys are raking in the money although are too miserly to upgrade their systems and service their obviously growing customer base as this was never an issue before. Come on guys you can do better than this. One very dissatisfied customer.
I had some problems yesterday ahead and during the trade balance , ECB conference, lost more money than I should have because of it. No big deal but maybe one should not trade announcement with them. The spread can widen unpredictably too during those times.
Yeah - frustrating as I've been with them for a fair whack of time and I enjoy most everything. A responsive system is crucial around announcements . I'm also with GFT although the same shit.
