Oanda - Add Your SCAM SCREENS Here

Discussion in 'Forex Brokers' started by forestgril, May 4, 2008.

  1. I am trading with very little sum, so the only cost is time.

This time You seem to be trying to insult me.

Today I have shown a clear example of a SCAM at Oanda platform but maybe a FORUM ABOUT FOREX BROKERS is not a good place to show such things? Why do I feel like being attacked all the time?

    The answers are 3:
-either some of You guys have an interest in defending brokers,
-either some of You are in love with Oanda and will not see a obvious example of a proof against it,
    - either I don't know - clarify!

  2. It seems like a 'scam' to you but it's a potential risk-free opportunity for others :)

What you really should have done was kept quiet about it and exploited it.....well after sending me a PM of course :p

  3. 1. No comment.

    2. How could You trade it? It lasted for one second! It would be profitable only for the ones with TP's on the way of the candle shadow or BUY limits, but....

    3. I don't think so. The move up was strong and indicated further rise. The stops must have been all the way down to 23%, I And if Oanda says it was a good "tradable" price, then all the tickets raised because of this will not be considered and paid back.

In my opinion this was a opportunity but only for Oanda, as they know, where are all the stops, buy limits and TP's.

  4. lol, you're missing the whole point. You seem to be on a one-man crusade to expose Oanda as some sort of scam operation and that is why you'll never make any money, you have to think outside your own little box and beyond your scam-exposing mission and grasp opportunities as they arise.

This pricing discrepancy is one of those opportunities, so instead of saying 'oh look, Oanda spiked price to hunt stops, they're a scam' what you should have said to yourself was 'oh look, Oanda are quoting way off market, I'm going to see if I can pick off that price'. If they honor it you've had a risk-free trade, if they call it bad data and reverse the trade then nothing lost. Upside potential with no downside risk, how about that!

You really don't see it do you.....

  5. No I do not! How do You think, it would be possible to catch it? It lasted for ONE SECOND!

As I have written, only with PREDEFINED orders It could have been profitable for the player. But who had put the buy limit with stop, he had been stopped baddly! The spike went all the way down BELOW the 77% retracement. So there was no way to make a profit out of it - only with TP on the way of the lower shadow of the candlestick.

It is not a crusade of me against Oanda! Or is it? Am I fuckin crazy or what? :D

  7. You have a good day and You are joking. :)

    But You are not right:

    a) I am not that kind of guy (cheerful, positive and optimistic instead :D ) and

    b) THIS WAS A SCAM:

There's always something fishy about Oanda. Twice I had my trades disappeared which I don't remembered ended, just when I came back to find out the 100 pips runs were none existence, that broke my heart. Who is it to blame but I'm glad I moved on; other brokers seem more pleasant and straight forward, knock on wood in this unregulated jungle but there are better brokers so move on out of there.

  10. On both websites You have to read between the lines to find out the truth. There are many posts (I think) that are written by broker representatives.

The truth seems to always be the same - NO FAIR FOREX BROKER OUT THERE!

But Oanda will keep telling You that they are saint.
