Oanda - Add Your SCAM SCREENS Here

Discussion in 'Forex Brokers' started by forestgril, May 4, 2008.

  1. Everything is clear now. Trade with Oanda at Your own risk. And nowadays the risk is bigger.

You know why? The dollar will go into hyperinflation in a moment or 2. (open longs on XXX/USD) And all the bucketshop owners will fly to Bahamas or whatever.

That is how it looks like: Oanda does not care about its clients anymore, because the business is over soon !

Or is there any other explanation??? Why all this scam??? Why so often???

  2. Hey forestgril

Why? Because if you read the foums you'll see that very few people actually notice anything is wrong, and the ones who do are probably cosistently profitable and Oanda as a pure bucketshop don't want profitable traders anyway!

There are a small pecentage who trade larger time frames and it doesn't affect them but at a guess I would say 75% are intraday scalpers.

It's not over, far from it, they're just warming up! Now that money is so tight there are even more people looking for a fast buck......cue Oanda et al :p

  3. Hmmm. I'm not quite sure but maybe. I would rather think, that they want to steal as much as possible before they get away with all the money on their account. The average USA inhabitant has a 400000 USD debt. The world economy is on the edge... no it is already falling, but some fail to notice yet. In such conditions some businessman may want to jump out of that plane with a parachute (and fall to a heaven-island probably).

We have to make money quick and buy metals. What broker are You playing with Cable?

  5. -----------------
I think it is a psychological game.

They stopped out all the shorts, up to 62% Fibonacci resistance of the last wave. If it went down, they would not reinstate the trades. But because it went up, they could reinstate the trades and the shorts were stopped out anyway :) Maybe they even knew this would happen and made some additional bucks on confused traders! THREE TIMES IN A ROW UP TO 62%

IT WAS NOT A COINCIDENCE, if You tnink so...
    hmmmm... my sympathy

Maybe OANDA went long for too long and was afraid of loosing more this day?

  6. I think you are a bit paranoid there. I have had loosing as well as profitable trades undone by Oanda. At least i can't make out such a policy as you describe there. I think it is what it looks like - a bad tick that slipped through - at least in my cases they rolled back the trades in way that appeared fair to me.

  7. CMC in the UK, and just waiting for the Interactive Brokers accounts to be re-activated and funded.

I think things have definitely got worse with bucketshops, maybe they are all chasing after the same business and people just don't have the money to lose any more, perhaps the only way to make any profit is to scam the clients you've got and hope they don't notice

Even regulation won't help as there's no central exchange and universal price, these bucketshops can do whatever they like!

  9. This wasn't a bad tick that's for sure, and Oanda stand by their quotes probably because it was more profitable for them to do so.

I'll tell you something, in 12 years of trading with CMC I've never once had (or heard of) a trade being reversed due to a bad tick.

I really don't know, I'm just thankful I don't have to put up with this garbage any more, every day going into battle with my marketmaker would be ridiculous.

  10. lol, you're going back a few years there pippi, they've cleaned up their act a bit since then :)

Sure they're a bucketshop, nothing wrong with an honest bucketshop with integrity, who needs the 'real' deal when you've got a bucketshop taking everything you throw at them :)
