On behalf of the NYSE, I want to thank our client community for your engagement over the past year. During a period of great uncertainty and volatility, the value of market transparency and resilient, stable infrastructure has never been more apparent.

As you know, we have been working closely with you to identify ways in which our data solutions can better meet your business needs. We’re happy to share some important strides we’ve made recently.

    • NYSE BQT Access Fee Reduction & Redistribution Credit: NYSE Best Quote & Trades (BQT) is the consolidated market data feed that provides a unified view of quotes and trades from NYSE’s five equity markets. In 2020, we implemented significantly reduced access fees for display-only and datafeed redistributors. As an expansion of this reduction, we have also applied credits to the redistribution fee for redistributors of devices and data feeds.
    • NYSE Membership On-Ramp Program: On April 1 we introduced an on-ramp program to provide fee discounts on trading licenses, ports and market data products for new member organizations. The program includes discounts for the first 18 months of membership on data, trading licenses and order entry sessions.
    • NYSE Proprietary Data Free Trial: NYSE Market Data now offers a one-month free trial to any firm that subscribes to a particular NYSE proprietary real-time market data product for the first time. Subscribers are not charged any fees for the product, including the Access Fee, Non-Display Fee, any applicable Professional and Non-Professional User fee, or Redistribution Fee.
    • NYSE Delayed Data Policy: In response to increased interest in delayed data, redistributors can now delay real-time NYSE data at no cost to the recipients.
We’re committed to expanding access to NYSE BQT because the feed consistently shows quotes at the best prices across all securities compared to similar products. In November 2020, financial technology firm Jordan & Jordan conducted a study comparing quote quality of indicative prices across exchange data feeds, finding that NYSE BQT statistically has the best available prices in more categories than peers.

We look forward to sharing more updates and developments as the year progresses. In the meantime, please reach out to me or the NYSE Market Data team to stay connected and discuss how we can best support your business.

    All the best,

    Jessica Froats
