I'm remote, and constantly feel like I'm at a disadvantage not having other traders around to talk to during the day. I'm looking for 1 or 2 other traders to hook up with via messenger (msn, yahoo, etc) in order to focus on 1-3 listed stocks intraday. I have my favorites and you have yours - we can either trade those or pick a new one to dissect. I'd say I'm an intermediate level tape reader. Definitely not the best, but I make money. Ideally, I'd like to have a group of 3 traders to share information with, and to exclusively trade a couple of listed stocks day in and day out. I'm happy to share what I know, and hope to find others who will do the same. I prefer to trade expensive stocks (>$40) and prefer the short side. I don't fool around with waves, fib lines, MA's, etc.; I read the tape and pay attention to volume, support and resistance, pivots, premium, and of course, the futures. Basically all I'm looking for is an intraday discussion going something like this "XYZ spec covering at 55.05" or "block coming at 55.05" or "mook pennying inside specialist" I don't want to be in a big chat room with 20 other people, just a small, cohesive, focused unit of 2-3 people who want to put in the time and really master a few listed stocks. I don't care how good you are, but you must have some experience tape reading listed stocks. Again, I'm happy to share what I know - all I'm looking for is someone who REALLY wants to master tape reading and is willing to devote a few months to this group. If you're getting lonely trading remotely, why don't you just join a prop firm? I'm sure you could find some tape readers there.
bung- have you tried the elitetrader room? It does get crowded lately , but there's not that much noise..and you can always click "ignore" on any people you want out. I'm usually there everyday..along with a bunch of other traders.
