how many of you use the nyse open book to lean on displayed size?? i know that obviously it works for some stocks better than for others (where full sizes aren't shown, are pulled at the last minute, printed around, etc) but is it an important element in your trading? i know a guy who never uses it and makes great money- but today- i took some heat on a trade and was able to use open book to my advantage, added some size at a better price and turned a loss into a nice gain.....i am just beginning to trade listed stocks and wonder how important (and reliable) the open book is. thanks everyone and good trading to you.
