Hello everyone: 1) I have recently started intraday trading of NYSE stocks and was wondering if it would be possible to get in touch with some people who do day trading of NYSE stocks for living. I am very serious about learning the business and would really like to get to know some experienced NYSE intraday traders who wouldn't mind sharing some of their insights with someone who is just starting in the business. 2) There are many books on the market that talk about NASDAQ trading and how to interpret Level 2 and the actions of market makers but are there any books that talk about NYSE day trading, about how to read and interpret the tape, how the specialist system works, how to read and interpret specialist's actions by reading the tape (+ bid/ask, uptick/downtick etc)? And is it possible to learn how to interpret the tape to the point where you can trade "on the same side" as the specialist? (I heard that apprarently some people do that but I have no clue how to go about working to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge. note: my questions pertain specifically to intraday trading of NYSE stocks for a relatively small profit target of around 5-15 cents with a stop of about 4-5 cents. Your help would be greatly appreciated; I can be reached by e-mail at gstusio@hotmail.com Thanks in advance, Greg Montreal
I recommend you to take a training course like: http://www.stocktrading.com/html/training.html I do not work for the company & just recent took their workshop. Listed stock trading is their specialty. Hope this helps.
My suggestion would be to work for one of the firms that specialize in trading NYSE, and provide you with the hands on training rather than classroom study only.
That is too long & may not be good. Don Bright is profesional trader. Training fee is very reasonalable. Wish I began with his firm when I started.
