i just watched this video about the specialist on NYSE...interesting stuff..you can click on diffrent subjects to skip the boring stuff.....here's the link ! enjoy http://www.nyse.com/about/education.html#
Not for me Nitro! In the smaller timeframes I find risk hard to control, patterns that get broken down to tag the stops, spreading by the specialist. For me, profit lies in trading the 30 min and greater timeframes. Anything smaller and I just get chopped up. -Bo
OK, I respect that when you qualify it with an "Not for _me_." FWIW, _I_ think they are the _PERFECT_ daytrading vehicle. nitro
Nitro.. I guess you mean "for you" ? LOL just kidding. I love NYSE too, day and multiple time frames.
>I_ think they are the _PERFECT_ daytrading vehicle. Bless you for that! I am probably the one buying your daytrading shares as I enter a trade with a multiday/week expectation There is room for all in the markets, The other day I was short the ES off a 30 min setup, and a friend went long after a sharp drop to some minor support. He ended up closing out the trade +2, while I held the wiggle and closed it later +9. Two different strategies, both valid, both successful. And thank goodness both kinds of traders exist. The scalpers provide liquidity to the daytraders, the daytraders provide liquidity to the swingtraders, the swingtraders provide liquidity to the positions traders..... and round and round we go -Bo
