Nymex Crude

Discussion in 'Commodity Futures' started by asdfghj7, Dec 27, 2007.

  1. Is the Nymex Brent Crude oil contract traded electronically, and does anyone know what the average daily volume is? Genesis Trade Navigator shows the Brent Crude contract with a symbol 'IC'. The average daily volume is around 170,000. I've yet to find someone who knows if this is an electronic or pit traded contract. Thanks for your help.

you can go to that link to look at all of the products traded on nymex. theres quite a few ways to play brent. there's another spot on the site where you can find open interest by contract, but you'll have to do some of that digging on your own. hope this helps.

So yes, everything is traded electronically, I just don't know what kind of volume you're going to get with it.

Here's the main page. You can see that BZ doesn't get much play (why are you interested as compared to CL btw? jus curious).
