NYC Happy Hour

  1. Hello,

I am in the NYC area and would like to setup a happy hour with other people who trade or in the financial business. I figure it would be a good way to network, make connections and share ideas or just to meet some new friends and tell the weeks stories over some cold beer.

I know there is a lot of you guys out there that sit at your monitors for 8 hours a day in NYC and have no contact with anyone but CNBC, this board and your computer. Maybe some of you work at one of the downtown financial offices and just have contact with only the people who work close to you. Why not get out and meet a few new people who are in the same line of work as you? It would be nice to share ideas.

I figure this would take place on a Friday and ideally it should take place in Manhattan very close to the downtown financial district. Friday after the market closes would be a good time because most guys wouldnt have to prepare for the market open the next day. Mr Chows in Tribecca would be ideal.

Let me know what you think. . .

  2. mr chows ?

LOL ... please anywhere but there !

the waiters all wear tuxedos there

how about a place more relaxed !

    thinking ....

    :p

  3. Make a suggestion. It could be a relaxed jeans type place like a small pub.

I figure someplace close to the financial district, like under 10 minutes by taxi, and where someone could find street parking with a slightly remote chance.

  4. mr. chows!?? isn't that the place in "wallsteet"? i thought it closed down in 1990.

but yeah, i would be up for it. work midtown here
