just some warnings about luger's for out of towners who haven't been....

    > service usually isn't very good.
    > reservations are tough to get.
    > it's in brooklyn, 1st subway stop in from the 14th st. line.
    > cash only.

having said that, the steak is out of this world awesome, melts in your mouth.

there are a fair number of steak places in midtown that all have their fans and detractors. a friend of mine got me hooked on del frisco (50th/6th), especially the lobster/crabcake appetizer combo.

if looking for food places in nyc...go to chowhound (dot) com.

luger's location in brooklyn isn't great, but it's only a short walk from the subway station...

    best burgers in manhattan...

corner bistro in the village (depending on the cook).

one of the better places is right around the corner from the expo, mchale's bar. it's on 46th/8th...

i was underwhelmed with hamburger harry's (which isn't far from the expo either).

  9. What about Pizza? Whats the best NY thin crust pizza? I went to a pizza place that was pretty close to the expo last year but it was alright, I had better pizza in Cali. So, I want something to impress me. I need something to beat Dominiques in Hollywood on Fairfax and Melrose or Al's in Newport Beach.

  10. This could start a big debate...:D A lot of good pizza spots..

some might say you will again have to go to Brooklyn...Patsy's

I will try to make the expo..but why'd they have to make it on Valentine's weekend...maybe I'll bring the gf and make it a romantic weekend.
