Was curious about the 4-monitor support, I performed a google search and found an article which states the card supports 4 monitors simultaneously. I stand corrected.
Hi, Buying a graphics card can be tricky. For example, there are more than one models for ASUS GTX 650 card. The GTX650-DC-1GD5 has four output ports, and may support up to four monitors: http://www.asus.com/us/Graphics_Cards/GTX650DC1GD5 Other model may have just three: http://www.asus.com/us/Graphics_Cards/GTX650E2GD5 It is always a good idea to double-check everything. Also, old graphics card may have VGA connectors. It is unlikely to get a pixel-perfect image with current LED monitors.
I now have the new computer with nvidia ge force gtx 660. So far can only get three monitors workng....
http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-760/product-images this is the card in my computer. It has 4 slots for 4 monitors but the tech guy can only get 3 monitors to work.. any ideas?
That is what I was alluding to in my previous post. The multiple connections are for convenience. HDMI-D, HDMI or mini HDMI, displayport, etc... That does not mean all ports can be used simultaneously. In this case, you were able to output to 3 of the 4 available ports. Not bad actually. IF that card can output to 4 monitors you will most likely need contact ASUS support to determine how, but it is my believe 3 is what you get. Good luck
Old topic but...7 series Nvidia cards are the old generation, 9 series is the new one that's a lot more power efficient. If roberk bought a 760 instead of a 970 and paid MORE then that was a terrible deal as the card is worse in every aspect. These are all gaming cards, you don't need these for Windows Aero (overkill) and charts don't benefit from fast GPUs at all. If you need a lot of monitors then just get 2 GTX 960s and you should be able to connect 6 monitors minimum. They don't draw much power and the fans don't spin in 2D operation as they don't require cooling (I like this selling point). I realize the 960 was not out while the topic was started, the current situation is quite different.
