  2. I hate bitcoin so much :) I was perfectly positioned with the money, IT skills and access to basically free electricity in Colombia when I got interested in futures trading. I actually turned down an offer to collaborate with a Russian I met in Mexico who was really quite brilliant.

I am rich by any reasonable standard from trading but it pales in comparison to what I would have made mining from back in 2013.

    Life is a....

    I kick myself everyday.

But am considering starting a mining hardware import/assembly business

  4. I suspect I would have become mentally ill anyway, cryptos mined and sold too cheap.. a friend sold a stack at 10% of the value a year later.

My brother being a specialist in architecture of RISC and ASIC processors for mobile phones etc.. was probably a ridiculous advantage to waste. Of course he is as conservative as you can get with risk so we both might have gone mad.

Futures works well regardless and it is honest imaginary work. :)

There are still opportunities for mining other coins/projects. As an example, Raven coin was announced on twitter (no ico or premine) and I started mining it a few days later using AWS servers (spent about $150) got hundreds of thousands of coins (much more coins than bitcoin).

Anyway, the point is I thought it would not have any value for a while, but it's currently trading in large amounts otc in a Discord forum for 6 cents or higher so I'm sitting on tens of thousands of $ after 2 months. The Overstock CEO announced on an interview that the only coin he was interested in besides bitcoin was Raven coin hence the price. An exchange may likely push it higher.

I'm waiting for another coin to launch, no ico's, it's called Doubloon. I don't think it will be as successful as Raven coin, but who knows.

  6. Either this man is a vendor seeking to entrap... or in 2018, I am STILL an IDIOT! :)

I'm not a vendor, :D I have nothing to sell to anyone on ET. I've traded options on the side for many years, until I found bitcoin in 2013 and been holding cryptos since.

In one of my posts, I explained that in real life, friends, family, coworkers, not a single person I mentioned it to over the years have bought bitcoin. Here on ET, I only know of one person who didn't believe in it but seems to support it now.

Do you know of any ET bitcoin naysayer that is actually a supporter now?

  8. Diagnosis confirmed.

My only excuse is I really enjoy Futures trading, mostly scalping. I do really well being fair, recently again I started to configure BitMex on NT 8 and lost the will to live.

I have some residual ethical concerns.. perhaps I am being a little Amish, accepting something because it is older and established. But I live in Panama and Colombia so see a lot of bad men. (mostly Panama)

I know a few guys and a girl who did not complicate their minds and just bought some. They are not on ET... mostly at the spa :)

Hell, maybe I'll just pay a group of undergrads to clone me a poloniex exchange and not deal with anything but collecting fees and wait 'til in bought out
