My delusional take on Chipotle? It's drug cartel laundering cash through a legitimate business. No other explanation for their neverending ride to the moon for years.
Problem I have with these guys is they said the same thing about Tesla in 2019. My counter arguments are: 1. Nvidia has been battling AMD and Intel for decades and have always been one step ahead. They know what competition is. 2. The cost of developing new fabs and chips for AI is horrendously high. Ask Elon Musk where he's at with Dojo, Tesla's effort creating their AI chip. If it's really hard for them, it's really really hard for anyone else. 3. TSMC works with Nvidia. They are also the king of the mountain in chip making. I don't think there's an interest yet for either to step on each other's expertise. Who said " how many 10 years do you have in front of you"? I've already given up on 10 years. I'm on the 5 years plan.
Wonder if their 100,000 plus employee base are becoming millionaires off the stock repurchase program!
Here in the SF bay area house prices just rose 14% month over month so I'd say a lot of nVidia employees with RSUs are going to skyrocket the Santa Clara County real estate market.
Yeah the constant bleating of competition is coming is a joke. The only company that ever made that come true was Apple but they have more than money. They have always had hardware expertise. Apple's APU is pretty impressive especially in single thread performance. They have the top 4 single thread Passmark scores, of course Intel's new architecture (branded as Ultra instead of Core) is coming so it will probably be faster than the Apple APUs.
14% month over month??? Everything is just going absolutely bonkers. 14%%% What's the median price of a house in that county??
I think its like $1.5M to $2M depending on the neighborhood. In Silicon Valley you have to have generational wealth (aka the Bank of mom & dad) or a $400K job at the FAANG companies to live in a 1600 sf house. Its crazy here. I think in Palo Alto the average house is like $3M-$4M.
Working at NVDA must be a dream job! B/c you can try/research/experiment all new ideas you can imagine to achieve new speed records... Even create your own new standards...
In watching the Cramer interview with Jensen Huang, I couldn't help but look at JH and think, how does he sleep at night? He looked so energized and excited. I couldn't imagine being where he is in life and seeing the possibilities the future has. I'd be buzzin'. Good for him.
