Today the focus was shifted to seven-minute price action on five-minute charts, and in this context, the slope threshold levels were as follows:
    • Fifty Minutes: 0.0428 -0.0428
    • Thirty Minutes: 0.0699 -0.0699
    • Seven Minutes: 0.154 -0.154
    • Four Minutes: 0.0968 -0.0968
The 30-minute surge limit is observed to be pretty consistently at the 0.15% deviation level, sometimes expanded to 0.20%, but only on very rare occasions with particular pairs such as AUDJPY.

I want an indicator that's going to give me MORE than two to zero trade signals per day. So...here it is:

This first week heading into the homestretch of transitioning from trading using a position size of 0.1 lots to 0.5 lots to 1.0 lots saw the development of a rather consistent pattern of starting off the first half of each 24-hour market cycle proving the complete invalidity of some bright idea I had for a nuanced modification that would make my system even better; and then spending the second half of the 24-hour market cycle correcting my decision-making process based on what I learned from my mistakes—usually resulting in a perfect or near perfect record for the remainder of the day to normally avoid ending the day in the red.

Of course, it remains to be seen, but I have a strong suspicion that the adjustments I made this last day of the week (Friday) might have carried me from the homestretch to crossing over the finish line so that going forward I will enjoy perfect or near-perfect performances for the entire 24-hour market cycles, making it "safe" for me to begin multiplying my position size twentyfold; and this has prompted me to write yet another description of my system in light of my most recent thoughts…

Numerical Price Prediction (NPP) is an approach to day trading foreign currency pairs that integrates the predictive power of repetitive price movements with a disciplined technical analysis methodology—leveraging ongoing real-time data and up-to-the-minute forecast models to interpret short-term price action in view of repeating historical patterns.

Elements such as market structure, horizontal support & resistance levels and typical price ranges are quantified to pinpoint high-probability entry and exit points, ensuring that trades align with mathematically justifiable levels derived from objective, odds-based decision making, creating a robust system that balances rigorous precision with disciplined risk management to optimize trade outcomes.

This approach employs (A) principles akin to flight dynamics, applying physics-like rules to predict asset price movements, along with (B) cycle theory and (C) assumptions compatible with Edgar Peters’ fractal market hypothesis, to detect subtle, recurring price action signals while grounding decisions in key technical levels that reflect past behavior.

By combining a predictive edge with a focus on statistically validated trade setups, NPP aims to achieve consistent profitability through relatively rapid, high-probability trades while minimizing exposure to market noise and emotional biases.

NOTE: The U.S. stock market is closed on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in observance of Juneteenth National Independence Day. Both the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Nasdaq will not operate on this day.

Unless my eyes are fooling me, I think I'm just about done optimizing the use of Numerical Price Prediction in trading Forex. But, if I'm going to now expand to other financial instruments, I'm going to need MT5, which I no longer have. Supposedly, this URL lists brokers with MT5 who accept USA citizens as clients, so let me see if their list is actually legit...

  7. Just use Oanda and be done with it. FFS, you've been on here nearly 10Y and you're still fcuking around with microlots on demo. Choose.

I trust that with what I learned from, and with the adjustments I made following, the first four trades during the present 24-hour market cycle, the two mistakes I made entering my second and fourth positions will essentially be about the last I ever make due to avoidable errors in judgment.

Accordingly, I plan to spend the remainder of this week practicing the implementation of my system, applying the most recent guidelines adopted in light of observations, insights and revelations resulting from the analysis I've been carrying out heading into this final stretch, and then next week, switch over from trading with position sizes that are only a small fraction of a lot to typical stakes of 1.0 lots each.

    Change in plans:

I saw where the most recent guidelines had room for improvement, so I changed my actions accordingly, but with a great deal of imperfection...

Once you've worked out and made sense of the above, you can step up from trading 0.01 to 0.05 lots to trading 1.0 lots.
