I hope that doesn't happen. I'd much rather see something less physically impactful on people's lives such as a few countries deciding to leave the euro. Great for volatility for a short time and then we're going back up up up up and away.
Chances are this event will demonstrate that well designed nuclear power plants are safer than most people think. Even with the Chernobyl disaster, the worst, nuclear energy has a better safety record than coal. And don't forget a properly operating coal fired power plant emits more radioactivity than a properly operating nuclear plant.
Energy companies. CNX is a good one. Its has both exposure to Appalachian basin coal and natural gas. Or just outright short JPY/USD. However, odds are you will lose money on this mindless speculation.

There's no comparison to nuclear there. Your statement was that there is more radiation from coal power than nuclear power. I've never worked in a coal power plant, do they wear radiation monitors too?
