That inference was entirely your own. Danger is not limited to gun violence. In any event, I didn't know the age of your child. If you had a teenager with more freedom of movement, what then? How would you overcompensate when you weren't packing heat around them?
No. I mentioned that you wrote a while back (I don't recall in which thread) that you carry a gun when you're out with your family for their protection. At that time, I asked about when you're not there. You had never responded. Trying to get you to focus is like trying to herd cats.
The same way every other parent does it - through educating their teen on being smart and avoiding trouble, etc. But owning a gun doesn't compromise that, or decrease the relevant security of my household in any way. So danger that isn't related to guns is not related to a conversation about guns.
I don't recall that thread, but the question was as useless and pointless then as it is now, which is probably why I ignored you then. Perhaps today I was more bored and thought I'd entertain your flights of fantasy. Trying to get me to focus on inane conversation is, indeed, a pain in the ass. Or so my wife says.
But they forget about the problem. Until someone they know or a bunch of kids are killed. I think it helps to be reminded how the gun deaths go on each and every day. See, gun nuts and the electorate in general are like donkeys. Hit 'em once they ignore you, but if you keep bashing them over the head they eventually get the picture.
Ah, it does? So difficult to know because you never seem to want to state what your plan is. You're on record saying "ban all guns" and "guns should be locked in ranges", so I guess I should have known that meant we could keep them at home.
