What started as a Christmas party Thursday came to an abrupt end when a 16-year-old was accidentally shot in the head. Officials now confirm that the teen has died.
Yes. I work for a food manufacturer, as the finance director over the sales team. Ricter, I believe, works in the farming industry. Does he milk cows for a living? Really, you need to do all you can to try to raise that IQ a few points, Spike. Or you will be stocking shelves at the rate you're going.
Home Invader Who Puts Gun to Woman’s Neck Gets Shot and Killed On December 23, a home invader burst through a door in Memphis, Tennessee, and put a gun to a woman’s neck. He was then shot multiple times and killed. According to WREG, 22-year-old Nico Carlisle and another suspect knocked on a door on the “2300 block of Devoy” around 6 p.m. When a woman went to the door, the two suspects forced their way into the house, and Carlisle put a gun to the woman’s neck. At that point, the homeowner emerged–gun in hand–and shot Carlisle multiple times. Police arrived, found Carlisle “laying at the front door,” and pronounced him dead at the scene. The second suspect escaped and has yet to be identified. A neighbor who witnessed the events unfold said he saw “some boys go over there next door, you know, trying to get up in their house.” He walked to his own door for a clearer view, and “that’s when [he] heard some shots.” Here's the perp. Warning, it's rayciss.
Texas Gun Nuts Police the Police—With a Black Panthers Tactic (An extremely interesting turn in the unfolding open-carry-2nd-amendment drama)
16 Shot Since New Year’s Day in Chicago by Warner Todd Huston4 Jan 2015Chicago, IL525 New Year’s Day was particularly dangerous for residents of Chicago as nine were shot, including a 14-year-old girl. Two days later, by Saturday, seven more shootings were added to the toll. According to police, several of those shot on New Year’s Day were known gang members. The 14-year old girl was shot in the arm in the Woodlawn neighborhood along with a 21-year-old man who was shot in the back. The young man was a known gang member. By Saturday, 7 more had been shot in the city in separate incidents. One man, 22, was shot while inside a barbershop in the West Austin neighborhood. He was taken to the hospital with a shot to the shoulder. Three were shot on the city’s South Side on Saturday afternoon. Nearby Rosemont also experienced a fatality when a 14-year-old Des Plaines boy was shot and killed with a gunshot wound to the head. On Saturday, Rosemont police said they had no motive for the shooting, but said that the town was safe. Now, how much shall we wager that the guns used in all of these crimes were obtained illegally? Any takers?
Do Guns Protect Us? Violence Policy Center Says No . . . But Lott's one-sided approach not only forces him to make arguments not supported by facts, but also to ignore data which, at the very least, throws the whole notion of CCW for personal defense up for grabs. I am referring here to the ongoing project of the Violence Policy Center to track killings by concealed-carry licensees, which shows that more than 600 people with CCW killed themselves or others since 2007. The study, of course, is based on media reports that have come to the attention of the VPC, so it is necessarily incomplete, and I suspect that in the suicide category, which comprises slightly less than one-third of the shootings, the real number is substantially higher than what is estimated to have really occurred. . . .
Ah, the Violence Policy Center. Not like they haven't lost all possible integrity in the past with their "studies". What's next? HuffPo going to run an article on the scientific soundness of Futurecurrent's ET posts on Global Warming? This was a funny comment posted on the DemocraticUnderground... "I was reading their web site. Mostly lies as you can assume. But their big thing is tracking how many CC License holders kill people. They include suicides in this total which is stupid because you don't need a CC license to own a gun and shoot yourself. But where they really fail in in this statement..... "Above is the current tally from May 2007 to the present of killings involving persons with concealed carry permits or who committed a killing in public with a legal handgun in a state that allows concealed carry without a permit (Alaska, Arizona, and Vermont allow the carrying of concealed handguns without a permit). So, if you live in Alaska, Arizona or Vermont and kill yourself or shoot someone and kill them you are included in their CC License holder stats automatically just because you do not need a CC license in those states. So they can really pad their totals with all the citizens of those states. And there are only 391 on their list since May of 2007. Including suicides. In five years! During the same time there were 40,000 gun murders and 50,000 suicides by guns. So over 90,000 deaths from guns in that period and the CC License holders committed 400 of them. Sounds like a pretty safe group!"
