FWIW, "Although, largely through luck and circumstance, I now occupy a position that insulates me from most of the bumps and bruises that the average black man must endureāI can recite the usual litany of petty slights that during my 45 years have been directed my way: security guards tailing me as I shop in department stores, white couples who toss me their car keys as I stand outside a restaurant waiting for the valet, police cars pulling me over for no apparent reason."
Did you know that in many states it is illegal for a 13 year old to buy lottery tickets but not to buy a gun?
LOL! No. The only state under 18 is Vermont - at 16. And incidentally, I think that's nuts. Now, you can have possession (under adult supervision) at younger (though most states have that at 18 as well with a few exceptions - Montana being the youngest at 14 I think).
Just read starting page 2 until about 7 or so. Futurecurrents makes the "ban all guns" comment and then runs off to let Ricter try to argue his point for him, before their argument ends in an epic fail. Pages 2 to 7 on this thread. Have a read. It's a hoot.
