By that "logic" humans should be barred from any and every item that might kill them if misused.

  2. Liberals sure are whiny. That last paste by DB gave me a headache. I could almost hear that woman ranting on and on in her fingernails on blackboard Hillary Clinton screech.

  5. I have a theory about the gun debate. We have suffered the intrusiveness of the progressive nanny state in virtually every area of our lives.

They force their preferences on us constantly. They have laws telling us what kind iof light bulbs we can have and what kind of toilets. They force all kinds of crap into cars, and we have to pay exhorbitant prices for them. They tell us how to raise our own kids, and have forced so many "improvements" on the educational system that it is totally dysfunctional. It costs a fortune hwoever.

I saw this morning that they are outlawing the most common refrigerant gas used in A/C's, refrigerators, etc. What this will mean is if you have to service your unit, forget it. They will have no choice but to replace it with a new one, which will cost much more and work worse. We have already seen that with common appliances like washing machines. They were perfected 80 years or so ago and worked perfectly and lasted literally forever. Try finding one now that is any good and won't crap out the day after the warranty expires. Federal mandates have literally ruined them.

Our elected leaders, republicans as well as democrats, have been totally AWOL or complicit in allowing the progressive regulatory state to subjugate us. There is one area however where we have beaten them back. Gun rights. Clinton imposed a crazy ban on certain guns that frightened liberals, and instead ignited a grass roots rebellion that ended the political careers of many gun banners. We have gotten ever stronger since those dark days. It is the one area of modern life where we have drawn a line and defended it.

The NRA has been our steadfast ally, taking all kinds of defamatory abuse in the process. Their policy is not to give one inch. Never compromise our rights away. Fight instead to increase them and put the gun grabbers on the defensive. Compromise is foolish because liberals are not interested in any ultimate resolution other than a total ban and confiscation of privately owned firearms. It's not like they have been secretive about it either. Any compromise, no matter how "reasonable" to liberals, just takes us one step closer to their goal.

Stand tall, stand together and remember, never give an inch.

It's not "just guns"... it's EVERY ASPECT OF OUR LIVES!

Started about 100 years ago. Little by little, chipping away at individual rights and reliance upon self... to be replace by BIG GOVERNMENT STATE-ISM (you know, Socialism, Communism, Progressive-ism, Marxism... all mostly similar).

And now, because nobody stopped them when they should have... the DemoCraps have "critical mass" in the vote.

Things will only get worse, sadly.

Judicial activism has played a major role in this.

If you can't trust people with freedom how can you trust them with power?
